Switzerland is renowned for its magnificent scenery and breathtaking views. There is something to suit everyone, from family orientated resorts in serene villages to vibrant laces with fantastic après ski. It’s most expensive to visit Swiss ski resorts in winter, and slightly less so during the rest of the year.

St Moritz is the premier ski and social resort of eastern Switzerland. As one of the finest ski resorts, it boasts an international reputation for its breathtakingly gorgeous setting in Switzerlands Elgadine Valley, perfect ski slopes and off-piste choices, magnificent après-ski scene, and upscale shopping opportunities. The resort has been host to two Winter Olympics and an FIS World Ski Championship.
Switzerland’s most popular ski resort, Zermatt, is an outstanding winter holiday choice. Tucked in at the base of the Matterhorn it is ringed by over twenty mountain peaks. Skiers and snowboarders come from all over the world, attracted by the superb ski slopes and the sense of tradition.
A tiny Alpine resort, Andermatt is situated close to the Gotthard pass in Switzerland. You will find a good choice of ski slopes, from the gentle slope for the novice to the challenging runs for the more experienced skiers. As it is nearly 3000m high it is renowned for its reliable snow conditions. As a bonus, there are majestic views of the gigantic Gemstock.
The busy airports of Geneva and Zürich (Kloten Airport) both receive long-haul flights from cities around the world, though it may be more convenient to arrive via connections through London or Frankfurt. Rail is a popular and convenient way to travel around Switzerland and non-stop services run to and from many adjacent European cities such as Nice, Paris, Munich, Vienna and Milan. Many visitors choose to arrive in Switzerland by car, in order to better enjoy the magnificent scenery en route.

For skiers from the UK, you can now travel on low-cost carrier Easyjet to get to Switzerland even cheaper.
