Les Menuires - 3 Valleys, France PDF Print E-mail
User Rating: / 2
PoorBest
Purpose-built at 1780m - 1950m on the road to Val Thorens, it may have the ugliest architecture in the Alps but this is its only disadvantage. It is one of the best value resorts in the French Alps and also boasts good quality accommodation, a lively and friendly atmosphere, and an exceptional skiing domain. Les Menuires is part of the Three Valleys - the largest linked skiing area in the world with 650 km of pistes and over 200 ski lifts.

Snow is more or less guaranteed by the altitude and the snow cannons over 300 of them producing artificial snow when needed. There are magnificent views from the high peaks. Les Menuires is linked to Val Thorens (and to Méribel, La Tania and Courchevel). As such, it caters for the needs of skiers of all levels. Beginners may feel particularly spoilt, as there is a 'beginners village', 6 free ski lifts from the resort and a low cost beginners pass.

There is a brand new sports centre, with pool, saunas, jacuzzis and much more to help you relax your tired limbs, the resort has invested massively on improving what it has to offer, and it now ranks with the big boys as the place to ski.
