Mont Tremblant, Canada PDF Print E-mail
Owing to its position in French-speaking Québec, Mont Tremblant has a strong European feel to it, which is emphasised by the stylishness of the pedestrianised resort village. Nestled at the base of the mountain on the shores of Lake Tremblant, the colourful centre features traditional ski-in/ski-out accommodation and an extensive selection of charming shops.

The ski resort offers a vast trail area, with slopes covering 79kms in total, and with a longest run of 5.2kms. Mont Tremblant is an ideal resort for beginners, with wide-open, gentle nursery slopes; however, it is just as suitable for intermediates or experts, with upper level slopes of an equally high quality, and a notable 40kms of black-level pistes.

Eleven lifts provide access to the various pistes, with a transportation capacity of 25,000 people per hour. Additionally, Mont Tremblant resort’s exhilarating terrain parks have contributed enormously to its reputation.

Mont Tremblant ski resort offers just as much entertainment off the ski slopes as it does on them, with alternatives including: ice-skating, snowshoeing, sleigh rides, skidooing, ice-climbing, a fitness centre, a swimming pool and hot tubs. Also at your disposal are childcare facilities and 45 upmarket shops retailing an assortment of books, fashion, art, perfume and much more.

Accommodation is supplied by a selection of hotels, chalets and condos. Additionally, nights are vibrant at the resort, with three bars, a disco and 40-plus eateries to provide amusement.

The slopes are open from December to April at Mont Tremblant, with optimal snow conditions in February. Discount rates are offered in anticipation of the festive spell and towards the end of the season. The easiest means of reaching the resort is by flying to Dorval Airport in Montréal and taking taxi, bus or limousine transportation to the resort.
