Nagano - Japan
Nagano's ski area includes Hakuba which has seven unique ski resorts, each ski area offers its own characteristics with a variety of slopes.
Hakuba is a small welcoming village located in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture, Japan. It has been a popular tourism destination for Japanese for a long time and is recently becoming more well-known outside of Japan.
Surrounded by mountains, the location could not be more idyllic. In winter, huge amounts of snow fall in the valley and on the mountains transforming the village into a world-class winter sports destination. Many of the main events in the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics, including the downhill skiing, were held on the slopes in and around Hakuba. The vast choice of slopes and terrain suitable for any level of skier or snowboarder along with excellent powder snow conditions make Hakuba an increasingly popular destination for winter sports enthusiasts from around the world.

the foot of the Japanese Alps, Hakuba, has a rich variety of ski
resort. This include Happo-one ski resort which hosted the downhill
race at the Winter Olympic Games in 1998. The course satisfies all
skiers from beginners to advanced with an abundance of attractions.
This
ski resort has the individuality of seven ski hills. It is a huge
mountain with deep valleys making you feel alive as you transcend down
the slope.

ski resort is located in front of the highest peak in the Hakuba area.
This is one of Hakuba's top spots for rich scenery and openness makes
it a charming course.
Iwatake's main run is Sunny Valley. This run is suited for beginners to intermediate level skiers and is 3.8 km long.

Ride
up the Romance Chair lift to the top where you can see a beautiful
panoramic view of the mountains. These wide slopes provide a certain
degree of challenge and are perfect for beginners to intermediate
skiers. This ski hill is known not to be too crowded.

This
ski resort has its own little charm. It will give families a peace of
mind being able to ski together on a variety of course.
The main course at Highland is called Panorama. This run
is 1.5km long and will not only add to the pleasurable feeling of the
Alps but also give you a great feeling inside. The runs are groomed
packed and suitable for beginner to intermediate level skiers.
