Saas Fee, Switzerland PDF Print E-mail
The Swiss resort of Saas – Fee is located south of Bern (112kms) and close to the Italian border. The traditional and charming atmosphere of a Swiss mountain village has been well-preserved at Saas – Fee. The narrow streets are pedestrianised and lined with a range of shops and facilities.

Skiing at Saas – Fee resort takes place on the 100kms of pistes that wind around the glacier. Intermediate skiers have the best choice of runs (50kms), while beginners and advanced split the remaining runs (25kms each). A total of 22 ski lifts, with a capacity for 22,600 people per hour, service the slopes.

There are a number of ski kindergartens are available at the Alphubel and Schweizerhof hotels. A variety of accommodation can be found at Saas – Fee resort, ranging from modern luxury hotels to chalets and apartments (7,500 beds). Après ski can be a sedate affair in one of the quality restaurants, or a more exciting time can be had at the nightclubs, bars and traditional pubs.

Mittelallalin Glacier gives the resort a season that continues right through till June. The main season is from the end of November to the end of April. Geneva Airport has the most direct connections by train and bus to the resort.
